Why Is Csinta Becoming More Environmentally Friendly? Four Points

The Csinta creative community is made up of nature lovers. We strive to minimize our impact on the Earth, and we’re always looking for ways to do so. Could our vegan dessert be even greener than you think? :)

First point: Delicacies without artificial ingredients

The Csinták—that is, the delicious dried fruit rolls and cones we offer you—are completely natural. They contain nothing but fruit—or, in the case of the tomato-flavored Csintás, vegetables—and, in some cases, seeds, honey, and spices. When you eat Csinták, you can be sure you’re not consuming any texture enhancers, colorings, or other artificial ingredients. Our rolls and cones can certainly be included in a healthy diet, but the vast majority of them also fall under the category of organic foods, since We purchase mostly organic raw materials to them. That's why we choose it whenever we can organic fruit, because This is what is most beneficial during cultivation farmland.

Point 2: Responsibly produced packaging

We also strove for the most environmentally friendly packaging solution, but we have to take into account that this type of vegan fruit roll dessert cannot be wrapped directly in paper. The dried fruit mixture is a bit sticky, and it’s not just us who love it—moths do too 🙂 We also wanted the Csinták to have a look that wasn't puritanical, but rather to reflect the cheerfulness and abundance that we see in nature. The one currently in use transparent plastic packaging It's good to know that he has one positive trait: recyclable, so you can put it in the plastic in a recycling bin. A paper packaging that we've been using since 2021—FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) It is made from certified paper. FThe SC logo on products indicates that the wood used in them comes from responsibly managed forests and other verified sources. This paper comes from so-called certified forests: logging in these areas is conducted in a way that minimizes the impact of timber harvesting on the forest’s plants, animals, and other living organisms.

Point 3: Minimal packaging is also an option

"We Stayed Home" Pear Package with Minimal Packaging
We Stayed Home – the pear version :)
Launched last year, the We Stayed Home with a Package We tried even harder to achieve more. In a single resealable bag There are 20 fruit rolls, so they’re primarily meant to be eaten all at once. This was the ideal solution during the quarantine, but this packaging works well anytime: let’s face it, no matter how many Csinta rolls a family has, they’re gone relatively quickly. "Itthon Maradtunk," packaged with minimal plastic, quickly became popular—much to our delight—and has remained so ever since. Published in the our most plastic-free collection also at the end of last year. Now you can choose the Cintas in a jar with a clasp too. The 18 Csinta candies of the same flavor in the jar You can store it until it runs out, and then the resealable jar can be used for many different purposes. That way, you don't have to throw away plastic after the vegan We're running out of candy—not even enough for the recycling bin.

Point 4: Shopping at packaging-free stores

If there’s a packaging-free store nearby, you can fill up your jars or other containers there. The good news is that our vegan dessert products are now available at these stores, too. 🙂 If you bring any kind of container—and if you don’t have one, you can also get eco-friendly packaging materials, beeswax wraps, or canvas bags there—you can fill it with various products. These include fruits and vegetables, seeds, oil, coffee, cocoa, and sweets. And now, Csinták, too. If you happen not to see the fruit rolls, it's worth asking about them, because without their usual colorful packaging, you might not spot them right away. A list of packaging-free stores can be found at the On the "Locations" page We hope you’ll find them—and that as many people as possible will help replenish the ‘stock’ at these stores, which serve such a positive purpose.

csinta tale

A wonder-full

Life is full of wonders; every morning the sun peeks over the horizon.

Our hair grows by itself.
When we look into each other's eyes, our hearts open up.

Our journey is also full of miracles, ordinary miracles.

When we started our company 20 years ago, it was a big unimaginable journey and we started by making small beeswax candles and went to the other side of the world.

Later, we brightened up the street, the children, and ourselves with colorful butterflies and spirals twirling in the wind, traveling to new places, blessed with new wonders and new children.

Settling down in Csobánka felt like a miracle. When I opened the window, I heard birds chirping, and there were mountains and greenery everywhere.

Once, we decided to try an experiment to see what it was like to ‚cook’ without actually cooking. To enjoy the natural flavors of vegetables, fruits, and seeds.

How we can make similar dishes that we know and love using completely different techniques, perhaps with different ingredients.Peter called it alchemy. Familiar dishes in new ways and new food ideas were brought to the table. It was very exciting to use almonds to make cottage cheese cream, avocados to make chocolate cream for cakes.

Inspired by my grandmother, we once made a big pie from plums. All plums, nothing else.It already looked good and it came together well.

We made the first Chinta from raw fruit, just by drying it, which of course was not called that yet, and we made it just to

Let's stuff it well with poppy seeds and turn it into a delicious bejgli-style pastry.

A few years later, when we were looking for new opportunities, the idea came up to share this wonderfully simple creation with our community. It was very well received at the Advent bazaar at our daughters Luca and Lilla’s school.

The children’s openness to new and natural things was a tremendous source of inspiration. That’s when Csinták’s journey began. A small kitchen, homegrown fruit, experiments in the “witch’s kitchen,” spices, fruits, dehydrators, and techniques (cooking methods).

Children, friends, Waldorf families have helped us, either consciously or unnoticed.Photography, enthusiasm, tables, painting, design, business ideas

lots of conversation Thousands of small and big ideas.

Then a new kitchen and new colleagues who are attentive and dedicated. Investment after investment… A new look designed by our favorite graphic designer, Ági, who had to get used to our slow decision-making, the many changes, and the fact that we don’t let things rest until we’re completely satisfied with the result.

And that's when I needed a name for what this tearable, chewable, fillable, flat, fruit-filled thing was.Flap, sheet, fruit roll-up funnel and then Laci said: 'FUN'.

And we said yes, it's cool 🙂 🙂
